With the dream of making others’ dreams come true, and a true passion for the South Pacific, Linda Gutekunst started Boulder-based South Seas Adventures, Inc., in 1992. Being one of the first travel agencies to have a Web site in the mid-1990s has helped the company to stay, “ahead of the wave.”

Throughout this slow economy and the challenges of constantly staying ahead of the avid traveler, South Seas Adventures has also remained successful by offering dedicated service and customized travel plans down to the most subtle details. Linda and her staff regularly travel to the destinations they sell so they are truly up to date on what to offer and what works best for each customer. Linda and her husband, Jeff are both photographers, allowing them to provide images and videos to help their customers make confident decisions in their travel.

In recent credit to the company’s success, Linda reports an increase in destination weddings this year, which she believes is attributed to the U.S. dollar being strong in the South Pacific. 

While South Seas Adventures strives to plan “the best weeks of your life,” they also take time to make every day easier for the citizens of the countries they promote. The company works with the Loloma Foundation that distributes necessities, such as medicine, clothing, and school supplies, to agencies throughout the South Pacific. Also, every year South Seas Adventures travels directly to Fiji to help build homes for Fijian families.
