1. Give away reusable shopping bags with your logo — or sell them and donate the proceeds to an environmental-focused nonprofit.
2. Volunteer to be a Big Brother/Big Sister or mentor someone who is interested in learning more about your industry.
3. Offer a discount coupon to anyone who brings a canned good to your store to restock the local
food shelf.
4. Give your staff the day off to volunteer as a group building a house, cleaning up a park or spending time with underprivileged kids.
5. Donate the proceeds from one day (or proceeds from the sale of one particular item) to a local nonprofit. |
