| Black Chamber launches new magazine |

EasyChair Media LLC recently announced that it has acquired another cutting-edge project to add to its growing list of custom publications.
The Colorado-based company will be partnering with the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce to produce the 2008 Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce Magazine and Directory. Birthed from the enthusiasm and forefront thinking of the Chamber’s president, former Denver mayor Wellington Webb, the flagship business magazine and directory will feature not only the classic listings, but also personalized stories and photos of its members, and information specific to business owners and employees, organizations and consumers. “As the former mayor of Denver, I have learned that most business owners are not aware of the vast number of government resources at their disposal for starting or growing a business,” said Webb. “When we met with EasyChair to brainstorm on the concept for this new magazine, it was important to me that we make this a true resource guide to let our members, business owners in the community and potential entrepreneurs know that your government – city, county, state and federal – works for you. We want this to be so chock-full of good information that you’ll keep it as a frequently read reference.”
“We’re excited to be working on such a culturally rich and important contribution to the Colorado business community,” said Kristie Melendez, Manager and Principal of EasyChair Media. “The magazine will be published to coincide with Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, January 21, 2008. Our hope is to not only increase awareness for the businesses featured in the directory, but also awareness for African-American heritage and the role it has played in shaping – and continuing to shape – Colorado’s business and nonprofit sectors.”
Ad sales for the magazine begin September 12 with Early Bird discounts being offered until October 19, 2007. “This is an affordable and effective venue for businesses to educate and provide information to its members and the community at large,” Melendez said. “The Colorado Black Chamber is recognized as an organization committed to educating, informing and supporting its business community and the new chamber magazine will reflect these principles.”
About EasyChair Magazine EasyChair Media LLC is a rapidly growing Colorado-based regional publisher of community-oriented magazines, chamber of commerce directories, community guides, and shopping center publications. Past and current publications include EasyChair Magazine of Jefferson County, Boulder and Colorado Springs, as well as Southwest Plaza magazine in South Jefferson County and Littleton, the West Chamber of Jefferson County’s premium 72-page directory, and several EasyGuides to counties across Colorado.
The company’s staple publication, EasyChair Magazine of Jefferson and Boulder Counties, is mailed quarterly to a targeted demographic of 100,000 high-income households within Jefferson and Boulder Counties. The community-based publication combines sophisticated design with strong local features. Its well-defined controlled circulation provides one of the most effective targeted advertising vehicles in the entire Front Range market.
“With our dedicated and tenured staff of locally-based professionals, we’ve been able to establish strong partnerships in the communities we serve while providing an outstanding and affordable means for promoting local businesses,” said Melendez. “Our people really care about the people with whom they do business. We are in this growth position today because of the efforts and ideas that have been shared and developed by our team members.”
Melendez, the former owner of a direct mail publishing franchise company based in Windsor, Colo., founded EasyChair Media in 2000 with Martin Mansfield, a Denver attorney experienced in franchising, publishing, and media. The duo joined forces in 1997, spending three years developing and researching a variety of other publishing opportunities before forming and launching EasyChair Media, LLC, 2000. Franchising opportunities are available throughout Colorado and nationally. Contact EasyChair Media, 800-741-6308, or log onto www.easychairmedia.com.
