Ceili Rain offers a new taste with MANUKA HONEY on EasyLiving Front Range Colorado

Syracuse, NY, May 2, 2011-Mima Rekidz is pleased to announce the new CD Release from critically acclaimed touring, and recording artist-CEILI RAIN.

They say that the honey that comes from bees in New Zealand, feeding on the widespread manuka bush, is a natural healing agent. In the eyes and ears of Ceili Rain front man, Bob Halligan Jr., so too is music (a natural healing agent). On this new CD release (the 7th studio project from this award winning band) you’ll hear that MANUKA HONEY is filled with songs about love! Radical love, healing love, emotional love, spiritual love, romantic love and more! Of course it wouldn’t be a Ceili Rain record if BHJr didn’t address (as some say) controversial subjects…but the guy writes what is on his heart and on his mind. You’ll still rock as you always do, but the Celtic team has much to say (or rather play) on this new release.

Following the release of I MADE LEMONADE (2009) Bob Halligan Jr. was settling comfortably in the success of the CD. The feedback for this fan-financed project was encouraging, and the CD was recognized with several industry related awards, including an internationally known Unity Award. This kind of response made Halligan realize how important relationships are in his life…in ALL of our lives. The LEMONADE stand was doing well and brought some new fans to the backlist catalog as well. But in May 2010, a personal family near-tragedy struck when his son was the victim of a violent crime. “We are working on sorting out those issues now, but in my heart of hearts, the music must go on. So I write.” says BHjr. Through the tears, the anger, the frustration and all the other emotions of this experience, and others, Halligan once again pulls together a collection of songs with thought provoking lyrics, but presented in the Celtic/pop/rock style for which Ceili Rain is best known. Once again, it was friends and fans that joined in the effort of supporting the CD with financial, emotional and spiritual support. The CD was co-produced with Grammy nominated producer, Roman Klun, (who has worked with artists such as Sarah McLachlan, Joan Osborne, Gino Vannelli and others). The CD was recorded at His House-Innsbruck Studios in New York City. The studio is a partnership between Roman Klun and Aaron Comess (Spin Doctors).

Some of the outstanding tracks to recognize on MANUKA HONEY include the up tempo sing-along SWEETEST I’VE SEEN, the adult contemporary love song titled THE CUP, the Celtic driven CAN’T LOVE WITHOUT IT, the perfect wedding song titled THIS IS THE MOMENT, and the moving ballad focusing on adoption awareness called A-D-OP-TION (already gaining significant attention from adoption advocates).
