Fat-Melting Lunges
Stand with a weight in each hand. Take a big step forward with your right leg. Keep your back straight and shoulders pulled back as you squat down until your left knee almost touches the floor. Slowly rise back to starting position. Switch sides and repeat.
Muscle-Building Rows
Stand in front of a chair with a weight in your right hand. Bend forward so your back is parallel to the floor and place your left hand on the seat for support. With your palm facing your body and elbow tucked in, lift the dumbbell until your upper arm reaches the height of your back. Slowly lower the weight back to starting position. Switch Sides and repeat.
This intense workout will reshape your entire body by building muscle tone. You will also boost your metabolism and turn your body into a calorie-burning machine! These exercises work great for me.
I can guarantee that if you always use the treadmill, your body will become so efficient at using the treadmill that you will begin to burn fewer calories doing the same workout. On the other hand, if you perform treadmill work one session, stair climber work another session, then go for a jog, you will continue to see the benefit of increased calorie expenditure.
