| Giacomo Fiore to Release New Album for 2009 |

|
Italian guitarist Giacomo Fiore’s new solo record "Genteel" is being released on March 19th. A completely independent release featuring classical, fingerstyle, and world music pieces, the album is meant to chronicle Fiore's development as a performer and an interpreter, from the beginnings in his hometown of Genova, Italy, to his Nashville and San Francisco years.
The music ranges over a time span of four centuries, crossing through different cultures and showcasing the guitar’s uncanny versatility: from 16th Century Italian lute music to the sounds of the Japanese Koto, and from quiet introspection to buoyant extravagance, Fiore evokes a variety of atmospheres and moods on the six strings of the instrument.
Currently completing his M.M. in Performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the great American guitarist David Tanenbaum, Giacomo Fiore is an eclectic young guitarist who has performed across Europe and North America in both classical, fingerstyle, and folk settings.
