The music retailer will release In My Life in April 7, 2009 and will make the product available in all of its U.S. stores and online at www.virginmega.com. An advance abridged version of the project was successfully launched in the Fall of 2007 in two Virgin Megastore New York City flagship stores. This is the first time Virgin Megastores has entered into such a deal with a jazz artist.

The 14-track In My Life CD was produced by Suzi Reynolds and includes the work of some of the world’s most accomplished musicians, including Charleston’s pianist and musical director Bruce Barth (formerly Tony Bennett’s musical director and pianist). The CD is a melodic tapestry with pop, prog-rock and Great American Songbook influences. Tunes include the title track of the classic Beatles tune “In My Life” as well as Carol King’s “Beautiful;” Sting’s “Until,” from the movie Kate & Leopold and Bill Evans’ standard “Waltz for Debby.” Rondi’s first two original compositions, “Ancient Steps” and “Telescope,” each inspired by her 10 year-old daughter Emma, can also be found on the album.

Destined for a life in music, Rondi Charleston is a former investigative journalist and producer for ABC’s “Primetime Live” who began her musical journey at 16 when she entered Juilliard to study drama and voice.
