Kremmling: Discover your outdoor paradise!
Kremmling: Discover your outdoor paradise!
Looking for a nice quiet hike with some sightseeing?

The Kremmling Cretaceous Ammonite Site is the place to go. The 160 acres provide a unique opportunity to view giant ammonites and other associated marine species, as well as oceanic, climatic and paleoecological changes. It’s located on County Road 26, just north of Kremmling. Visit the local Bureau of Land Management office for a map. If “exciting” is more your speed, consider a rafting trip down the Colorado River. Kremmling has five major rafting companies that offer a variety of experiences for all skill levels. Call the Chamber to request their brochures.

Kremmling’s annual events are fun for the whole family

Kremmling Days, held the third weekend in June, sparkles with live music, shopping, kids’ activities, a parade, the Cliff Golf Tournament off the famous Kremmling Cliffs, and the Kremmling Classic trail races. The Fire Up the Cliffs Fourth of July offers live music, an all-American pie sale, and the Fireman’s BBQ. At night, you’ll have an extraordinary view from Town Square Park: fireworks launched off Kremmling’s famous cliffs. The second week of August plays host to the Middle Park Fair & Rodeo, followed by an Old Fashioned Country Dance in September. From May to September, trail runners can compete in Trail Runs that loop you through diverse terrain around Kremmling. Even winter is full of activities, with ice fishing contests and various snowmobile events. If you are interested in participating in any of these activities, visit www.kremmlingchamber.com/events for more information.
