Rising star Raquel Aurilia shares her heart and soul with her second album Holding on to Love featuring ten new songs, including the first single "Love is on the Way,” a rendition of the 80’s ballad by Saigon Kick that stays true to the original, yet gives more of a contemporary feel.
Co-writing nine tracks with songwriter and producer Gardner Cole, (Madonna, Jody Watley and Amy Grant) Raquel dives into a deeper, more personal level with songs of soul searching and passion.
The wife of Major League Baseball (MLB) all star Rich Aurilia, Raquel found inspiration for the album’s emotive title track "Holding on to Love" from the strength she witnessed in her family through the loss of a loved one.
Raquel’s sophisticated sound on "Holding on to Love,” captures her deep emotion on a moving backdrop of pop, soul and rock rhythms. Raquel provides both dreamy vocals up front and powerful back up on the upbeat groove "How Can I." The fluid refrain of "I Can’t Give" with its catchy chorus invokes the strength and independence of a life moving on.
2007’s debut album Finding My Way released with national distribution through Fontana/Universal and featured her hit single "Feels Like" which cracked the ultra-competitive Radio and Records (R&R) Top 30 AC and Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary charts at #28 placing her amongst hot artists like Avril Lavigne and John Mayer. "Feels Like" is still receiving national radio play today.
