• Establish dedicated recycling drop-off containers within your house to make recycling as convenient as possible. Rule of thumb — one container for every 900 square feet.
• Post photos of recyclable materials above the main recycling bin to help children understand which items they should collect.
• Once a month, create a Family Recycling Party, in which all members comb through the house for items that should be recycled.
• Recycling should be a habit, but not a chore. If an item is too hard to collect or too hard to clean, let it join the disposables.
• If possible, find a recycler who offers Altogether Recycling™ service, thus allowing your family to combine all recycling material together into a single bin, with no need for separation.
