WII GAME CELEBRATION/DEMONSTRATION INTRODUCES WII GAMES TO OLDER ADULTS Wheat Ridge, CO ----Adults fifty plus will have the chance to learn about the popular Wii “active” video game at the Wheat Ridge Senior/Community Center’s Wii Celebration scheduled for 1:30 – 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Wheat Ridge Senior/Community Center, located at 6363 W. 35th Ave.
Wii games differ from traditional video games in that gamers actively participate in whatever game they select. People attending the Wii Celebration will be introduced to the Wii Fit, Brain Academy, and Party Games that includes such games as darts, table hockey, shuffleboard, ping pong and more. To top it off, the Wii sports games of tennis, golf, bowling, baseball, and boxing will be showcased. Cost of the event is free and refreshments will be served. People are asked to RSVP by March 18.
The Wheat Senior/Community Center is a division of the Wheat Ridge Parks and Recreation Division and offers recreational opportunities for people ages fifty plus.
